Photochemistry and photophysics of coordination compounds and energy storage

Observing and understanding the events surrounding the absorption of a photon by a molecule is at the core of our research. Coordination and/or organic photochemistry is our main tool for developing new luminescent assemblies for various applications ranging from photocatalysis to lighting displays. Energy transfer and charge separation are particularly interesting in our systems in solution or when grafted on a surface or assembled in 1D-polymers or MOF. Our investigations focus, in part, on processes like photocurrent generation, ligand photo-ejection, and solid-state luminescence, to name a few.

Keywords: Photochemistry, photophysics, coordination chemistry, ligand synthesis, nanoparticles, photocatalysis, redox, fluorescence, luminescence.
