Design of aptamer based biosensors

aptamer_biosensors.png

In this topic, we exploit our expertise in oligonucleotide modification and conjugation to prepare aptamers bearing a functional group for surface anchoring to design aptasensors (i.e. biosensors using aptamers as receptor) for detecting analytes of interest.
In this context, functionalized ODNs have been synthetized for the design of aptasensors with different type of transduction methods:

  • ß-cyclodextrin and dansyl modified ODNs for sensitive sandwich-type fluorescent aptamer sensor (Anal. Chem. 2015)
  • Histidine conjugated ODNs for aptasensors (Anal. Chem. 2016)
  • Epoxide reactive modified ODNs for electrical aptasensor
  • Thiol and biotin modified ODNs for BIB group.
