The project aims to develop molecular architecture based on coordination complexes to explore the recognition of phospholipids and to develop a membrane-active probe. Dinuclear complexes identified to recognize anionic phospholipids provide basis for development of a new test able to detect all types and sizes of cellular microparticles (recognized biomarkers of cardio-vascular risk) found in biological fluids.
