Reactivity of radicals

In our group we focus on the design and properties of complexes harboring ligand radicals. The coordination of redox-active ligands and shuttling between distinct oxidation states provides a unique control over the reactivity of the complex and its physical properties. We develop all the complementary aspects of this chemistry, from the synthesis of new redox non-innocent structures to their coordination (d and f block elements), electrochemistry, spectroscopy, structural characterization, DFT calculations as well as various applications, especially in catalysis.
