Recognition of phospholipids, liposomes and extracellular microvesicles

liposome.png

This project aims to develop molecular architecture based on coordination complexes to explore the recognition of phospholipids and to develop a membrane-active probe. In particular, among Extracellular Vesicles expelled into biological fluids by cells, microvesicles (MVs) - also called microparticles or ectosomes - are relevant biomarkers of several pathologies and expose phosphatidylserine (PS) on their surface. Physico-chemical characterization of the interaction between coordination complexes and PS is in depth explored in solution (NMR, fluorescence) and on surface using Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM-D), Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and Biolayer Interferometry (BLI). This project is supported by ANR COCERP -ANR-16-CE29-0009 (2016-2021).
