Sebastien joined the "Synthèse Et Réactivité en Chimie Organique" (SERCO) group as Assistant Professor in september 2009.
In 2005, he obtained a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Université de Grenoble under the supervision of Jean-Pierre Déprès. His thesis consisted in the development of a flexible and efficient access to the Azulene family and the first total synthesis of Geigerine, a sesquiterpene natural product.
After a post-doctoral position on rhodium and palladium catalysis, in Waterloo (Canada) in the Fillion group, he came back to the Université de Grenoble as a temporary lecturer (ATER).
