Short summary:  We reported that chiral phosphoric acid, derived from (R)-BINOL, functioned as chiral Brønsted acid in 2004. Since then, we focused on the development of enantioselective reactions using chiral phosphoric acid. Recently, photoredox reactions have attracted much attention of organic chemists.  We wish to discuss in the lecture on the recent progress in the chiral phosphoric acid catalysis, in particular, combination of chiral phosphoric acid and photocatalysis.
