The limiting performance characteristics in bioelectrocatalysis of hydrogenase enzymes.
Enzymes power up: The limiting performance characteristics of hydrogenases in bioelectrocatalysis was studied. A comparison of bioelectrocatalysis with catalysis by noble metals such as Pt, as used in low-temp. H2-O2 fuel cells, shows that hydrogenase electrodes are similarly active in the consumption of dissolved H2 as are Pt-based fuel electrodes. [on SciFinder(R)]
