Electrochemical behavior of [Mn2III,IVO2(phen)4]3+ complex in aqueous phen+phenH+ buffer; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline.
Electrochem. behavior and interconversion of mono, bi and tetranuclear complexes were studied in aq. phen+phenH+ buffer (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline). A controlled potential oxidn. of [Mn2III,IVO2(phen)4]3+ allows the quant. formation of the new high valent oxo complexes [MnIV4O6(phen)6]4+. Assocd. electrochem. back transformations also were studied. [on SciFinder(R)]
