Direct-transfer biofuel cell or biosensor with carbon nanotube-containing electrodes.
The invention relates to a bioelectrode of a biofuel cell or of a biosensor intended to be immersed in a liq. medium contg. a target and an oxidant, resp. a reductant, in which the anode includes an enzyme capable of catalyzing the oxidn. of a target, and the cathode includes an enzyme capable of catalyzing the redn. of the oxidant, wherein each of the electrodes of anode and cathode consists of a solid agglomerate of carbon nanotubes mixed with the enzyme, and is secured to an electrode wire.
