Cyclopeptides as glycan-presenting multivalent scaffolds
This chapter highlights recent advances in the utilization of cyclopeptides as scaffolds for the construction of homo- and heterovalent glycoclusters and glycodendrimers. The structural modularity of cyclopeptides is demonstrated through selected examples showing different sugar valency{,} variations in the scaffold geometry and the molecular composition. Biological interest of these structures as bacterial or viral lectin ligands and antitumoral synthetic vaccines are particularly described.
